Crafting a Classic: The Soloking MS-1 Classic MKII

We set out to create more than just a review; we aimed to craft a visual narrative that captures the essence of this instrument—a blend of timeless elegance and modern performance. From the initial storyboard, our focus was on highlighting the subtle details: the way light catches the Olympic White finish and the warm glow of the roasted maple neck.
Our production process was meticulous, designed to do justice to the guitar's premium construction. We used dynamic lighting to accentuate the contours of the alder body and the lustre of the gold hardware. Close-up shots glide over the pearloid pickguard and the polished stainless-steel frets, inviting the viewer to appreciate the craftsmanship up close. Every frame was composed to convey the tactile experience—the smooth feel of the modern D-shaped neck and the satisfying precision of the custom locking tuners.
Of course, a guitar's true character is revealed in its voice. A significant part of our video production was dedicated to a pristine audio capture of the Soloking custom HSS Alnico pickups. We recorded the guitar through a range of amps and settings, from sparkling clean tones to gritty overdrive, showcasing its incredible versatility. The feature that truly shines is the coil-split function, which we made sure to highlight, demonstrating how the guitar can morph from a powerful humbucker roar to a spanky single-coil twang at the flick of a switch.
